The Florida Lemon Law protects the rights of a consumer who has purchased a new vehicle with a defect from being forced to take an unfair loss as a result of the purchase. In order to seek arbitration, one will have to obtain one or two forms from the Secretary of State website and the Attorney General Website.
How To File
The State of Florida will require that the manufacturer be informed of the defect and given the chance to repair the issue once the third repair attempt has failed to correct the problem.
Step 1 – Go to the Florida Attorney General Website.
Step 2: From the ‘Forms and Reports’ heading download the link labeled ‘Motor Vehicle Defect Notification and Instructions‘.
Step 3: Select the link labeled ‘Download Defect Notification Form‘.
