The Colorado Lemon Laws save vehicle owners from being forced to retain ownership of a new vehicle with an irreparable warranty defect and, under certain circumstances used vehicles with the same condition. One of the functions of the Better Business Bureau is to respond to valid consumer complaints by acting as a third party negotiator between a manufacturer and consumer in a dispute over such a vehicle.

State Covers

New Vehicles – The Colorado Lemon Laws provide protection for passenger vehicles seating less than ten people that were purchased for personal use on public highways and streets. Vehicle owners enjoy protection for a reasonable amount of time after the delivery date of the vehicle.

Used Vehicles – In certain circumstances the Colorado Lemon Laws may be used to protect a used vehicle. This will depend upon the delivery date to the original owner, whether that owner attempted to take action, the date of purchase by the new owner, and various other factors.
