State of Alabama Lemon Laws
The Alabama lemon law only covers new vehicles in order to protect the consumer from purchasing a non-conforming vehicle that significantly impairs the car’s use. The Attorney General is the responsible government office that should be notified if there is no remedy between the vehicle manufacturer and the consumer.
State Covers
New Vehicles – That are under: twenty-four (24) months of age, 24,000 miles (mi.), and 10,000 pounds (lb.). If either are achieved it may not be covered by the State as a lemon vehicle.
Used Vehicles – no law.
Pets – no law.
