State of Delaware Lemon Laws
The Delaware Lemon Law can be used to enforce the warranty behind sales of new and used cars, trucks, and pets. The Delaware Lemon law is enforced by the Consumer Protection Division which operates within the jurisdiction to the Delaware Department of Justice.
State Covers
New Vehicles – The Delaware Lemon Law protects all fully purchased and leased new vehicles for a one year period or during warranty period (whichever ends first will be the cut-off date for the period).
Used Vehicles – No Law.
Pets – Pets documented to have an illness within 20 Days of the Date of Sale or a Congenital Defect within two years of the date of sale.
The Delaware Pet Lemon Law ensures the rights of consumers in the market for a new pet are protected.
